![]() ![]() ![]() Watching this post i havnt seen anything with this series of numbers and would i be mistaken to assume that these are first generation as i have been looking for various parts and found that third generation will not fit and from some research also some of the second generation wont fit or so i assume that to be the case. Rohm, Harrington and Richardson, and High Standard, about one year later the search program was modified so that ( 1 ) a search by serial number only. These came from my fathers house after he passed away and i have known them since i was a little kid and was always told that my great grandparents bought these new back around 1895 or so. pat may 14 & 32 cal short round with target grips barrel and frame also matching numbers B 56003 this is a 6 shot. On another note i also have a harrington & richardson arms co. Pre-1905 (1904 and before) which were more like batch numbers and usually ran from 1 to 99,999. ![]() Generally speaking, there were three types of serial number series. the frame and the barrel assembly have matching numbers stamped C 9 1324. Decoding H&R serial numbers is not easy and it takes up quite a bit of the H&R book as different models usually have separate serial number series. it has the owls head grips but has no caliber stamped anywhere on the barrel. I have a Iver Johnson 38 s&w short 5 shot.The stamping on the top strap states Iver Johnson Arm & Cycle works Fitchburg Mass.
